I met Shelby as a freshman in college at VCU School of the Arts. I moved to Richmond hardly knowing anybody, but she was one of my very first friends I made and I’m so glad we’ve been able to stay in touch over the past several years! When she reached out to me and asked me to photograph her wedding, I could not have been more excited! She has always been just the sweetest person, and she is also an incredibly talented artist and graphic designer (She actually designed and printed her invitations herself!). I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Chris until their wedding day, but I could just tell that he was the perfect fit for Shelby.
Shelby and Chris got married at Sabot at Stony Point in Richmond, Virginia, which I joked looked like a mini Hogwarts! It was the most beautiful venue and only fitting for the elegant and romantic style of their wedding. The morning started off very cloudy, but the sun kept peeking its head out, and by the end of the day, we had the most gorgeous golden hour! Chris and Shelby were so laid back during the day and shared one of the cutest first looks to date! They made their vows to each other under the shade of a magnolia tree with all of their friends and family present, then danced the night away at their reception. Shelby and Chris, thank you again for allowing me to capture this beautiful day for you two. It was seriously so special, and I’m so glad I got to be there to witness it! Congratulations again!
