Chris grew up with my husband and was even a groomsman in our own wedding, so when his fiancé, Lindsey, contacted me about photographing their wedding early next year, I was beyond excited! Both Chris and Lindsey are such wonderful people, and I loved getting to hang out with them both during their engagement session this past weekend and getting to know them more. There’s just something so quiet and sweet about their love, and it was such a treat getting to capture that on camera. Plus, I got to meet their precious puppy, so that was just an added bonus!

When I was brainstorming with Chris and Lindsey about where to take their engagement photos, we decided on a Christmas tree farm because their session was going to be so close to Christmas, and I had never done a session at a tree farm so I was totally on board! Little did I know that this hidden gem was just down the road from my house! Jordan Lake Christmas Tree Farm made for the perfect wintery backdrop for their session, and I just could not get enough of how incredible Chris and Lindsey looked amongst all those beautiful shades of green. The day of their session was calling for cold temperatures and rain, so we contemplated rescheduling. But because of both of their crazy work schedules, Chris and Lindsey decided to just stick it out, and I’m so glad we did! The day started off cloudy, with a thin layer of mist in the air. Then, right in the middle of shooting, the clouds completely disappeared leaving nothing but sunshine and blue skies!
