Rob + Kirsten | Chapel Hill, North Carolina | Carolina Engagement

Engagements

March 9, 2017

This was such a special session for me because it was the first time I got to meet Rob and Kirsten in person! After getting engaged, Kirsten reached out to me from Florida, and I knew immediately that I was going to love working with the two of them. Kirsten is so sweet and incredibly easy to talk to, and while I didn’t get to talk with Rob during our initial meeting, I could tell he was the perfect fit for Kirsten solely based on the way she spoke of him.

Rob and Kirsten decided to have their engagement session on UNC’s campus in Chapel Hill, where Kirsten grew up. While the day of their session was a bit chilly, the weather could not have been more gorgeous! And you just can’t beat a good Carolina sunset! The day of their session, there just so happened to be a Carolina vs. Duke game happening on campus (We North Carolinians don’t mess around when it comes to college basketball), so there were people everywhere! We were dodging crowds right and left, but Rob and Kirsten remained cool the entire time and didn’t let the craziness around us keep them from creating the most beautiful images! What I love so much about Rob and Kirsten’s photos is that it looks like it might as well have been just the two of them! Their connection to each other in every photo is just so striking! One of my favorite moments during their entire session was when I told Rob and Kirsten to tell one another what they love about each other. As they began to whisper to each other, their faces just lit up and it was such a sweet moment to witness and capture! I overheard Kirsten tell Rob that she loves how he keeps her calm, and even in the short amount of time that I got to spend with them, I could tell this was true. They both felt so at ease with each other, and I absolutely loved that about them! It makes me so excited to get them back in front of my camera in September for their wedding!

Rob and Kirsten, I had such a wonderful time with you both this past weekend and I cannot wait to capture your special day!
