I love that each and every one of my couples brings something fun and unique to their engagement sessions. For Ben and Marie, it was their hilarious sense of humor, their infectious laughter, and how they were able to be completely themselves around each other. These two were all smiles throughout their session, and they kept me laughing the whole entire time (so much my cheeks hurt afterwards)! The joy these two felt because of each other was so evident, and it made my photographer’s heart so happy to witness and capture such a beautiful couple in love!

Leading up to Ben and Marie’s engagements, it was raining non-stop for days on end. The weather was looking less than promising all week, then Sunday turned out to be one of the most gorgeous days! Not only was it unseasonably warm, the sun also decided to make a full appearance with the most beautiful golden light! Both Marie and Ben live and work in Winston-Salem, so we decided to take their photos in Old Salem, one of the historical districts of the city. It was full of the neatest architecture and some of the most beautiful hidden side streets. There was so much character everywhere we looked as we explored along the old brick streets, talking about their wedding, and taking some of the most stunning (and hilarious) photos!
