When I first met Emily and Luke back in December, I found out they were both Appalachian State alums, so I knew immediately that we were going to be a great fit! That, and these two are some of the most fun and down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet! It was such a pleasure getting to know them even more during their engagement session and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this October (Yay for fall weddings!). There were plenty of laughs and lots of incredibly sweet moments between these two during their session, and it was all I could do not to keep squealing at every snap of my camera!

Both Emily and Luke live in Raleigh, so they wanted to do their session in the downtown area, which holds so much significance for them and their relationship. They showed me all of their favorite local restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, and at one point, Emily even pointed out that their old apartment just so happened to be in the background of one of their shots! Seeing Emily and Luke interact in front of the camera in such a sweet and natural way was such a breath of fresh air! They complimented each other so nicely, and it surely shows in their photos. Emily and Luke, I’m beyond excited for your big day – I know it’s going to be beautiful and so special!
