James and Christy have one of the sweetest love stories, and to be able to capture their wedding day back in December was such a treat for me! Their love story began when they met while both serving in the military. Throughout their time in Afghanistan, they wrote the sweetest love letters to each other (a letter from James to Christy was even displayed at their wedding and reading it almost brought me to tears!). While at my first meeting with Christy, as she was telling me her and James’ story, she pulled out the most beautiful leather notebook of all of the notes and photos they had collected over the course of their relationship. The notebook, which I later learned was handmade in Afghanistan, had pages full of the sweetest little notes and photographs of smiling faces. I loved that Christy was willing to share this special part of their story with me, and I knew just how important it was for me to give them beautiful photos of their wedding day so they could continue sharing their love story with others!

James and Christy were married just two days before Christmas at the beautiful Rand-Bryan House in Garner, North Carolina. The day started out with a layer of clouds covering the sky, but by the time we arrived at the venue, there was the most gorgeous sunshine! Christy looked like an absolute princess in her ballgown wedding dress and I loved that James’ tuxedo was hand-crafted in Afghanistan. Their day could not have been any more beautiful and I feel so honored to have been able to be a part of it. James and Christy, I wish you both all the best as you continue as husband and wife!
