It’s always such a treat photographing weddings for couples that I already know, and Chris and Lindsey’s wedding was exactly that! While I didn’t know Lindsey before their engagement, I knew Chris because he grew up with my husband and was even a groomsman at our wedding! After getting engaged, Lindsey contacted me about photographing their wedding and I could not have been more excited! I loved how laid back Chris and Lindsey were, and I knew that I was going to love getting to know them more through this experience and share their beautiful love story.
Chris and Lindsey opted for a small and simple celebration with just their closest family and a handful of their friends. Yet, the simplicity of their wedding day was what I loved so much! It can be so easy to get caught up in creating the perfect wedding day, that oftentimes couples forget the real reason of why they’re celebrating in the first place. It was clear that Chris and Lindsey just wanted to be with each other on their wedding day! They were married in their church, a beautiful little chapel surrounded by fields of purple flowers, then they held their reception at Annie’s Legacy Homestead, a horse farm with the most stunning views! Because Chris and Lindsey didn’t have a bridal party, their wedding day allowed ample time for bride and groom portraits, which is any photographer’s dream! We laughed, explored the grounds of the farm, and even had a little photoshoot with two of the most friendly horses (Fun fact: One of the farm’s horses had their baby the same day as Chris and Lindsey’s wedding)! It was such a wonderful and refreshing way to spend my first wedding of the new year, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way! Chris and Lindsey, thank you so much for putting your trust in me with such an important day, and for allowing me to share this beautiful season of your lives with others! All my best wishes to you both!
