I love the story of how I met David and Maggie, how they got engaged, and how I was lucky enough to come along and capture it all! Maggie and I both attended Appalachian State University and got our degrees in Commercial Photography, but we never actually crossed paths until after we both graduated. We had been following each other’s work for the longest time, and when Maggie reached out to me about doing a session with her family as well as her boyfriend, David, I was so excited! The very next day after that session, David emailed me with his plans of proposing soon to Maggie. He knew how important it was to Maggie to have a photographer there to capture that incredibly special moment, so when he asked me, of course I said yes!!

The weeks leading up to the proposal, David and I emailed back and forth to create the perfect plan for his proposal in downtown Charlotte. Unfortunately, our original plan fell through last minute and we had to come up with an alternate plan, but David remained so calm, thought quick on his feet, and we ended up in the most adorable little park in the heart of downtown Charlotte. It was in that little park that David got down on one knee to ask Maggie to marry him, and it was in that little park that these two started a new and exciting chapter of their lives together!

After the proposal, I was able to spend some time capturing Maggie and David’s first moments as an engaged couple and it was such joyful experience! We walked all around downtown and I was able to capture some of the sweetest moments for them! Maggie and David are two of the kindest and sweetest people you will ever meet, and I am so excited for them as they embark on this exciting new journey into marriage together! Congratulations, you two!!
