This engagement session is extra special to me, not only because I got to return to the exact spot I got engaged five years ago, but because Kayli also happens to be family! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Kayli’s high school graduation photos, her engagements, and will, next year, get to capture her and Garrett’s wedding day. There’s something truly special about her and Garrett’s relationship, and I have loved watching them grow up together over the past few years, and now getting to capture this new and exciting journey together!

Garrett just recently graduated from App State, so they had the idea of doing their engagement session in the mountains. As an App grad, myself, I was ecstatic when they came to me with this idea! We woke up at sunrise and hiked Moses Cone, then finished off our session overlooking the stunning Appalachian Mountains at Beacon Heights. I had a blast with the two of them (and their sweet pup, Sadie), and cannot wait to get them in front of my camera again next year for their Charleston wedding!

Garrett and Kayli, I could not be more excited to be the one capturing this beautiful season for the both of you, and I cannot wait to celebrate you on your wedding day next year!
