Like so many of my couples this year, Garrett and Kayli had to face the harsh reality of postponing their wedding when the pandemic hit, or else figuring out a creative way to rethink their wedding celebration. Their original plan was to get married in Charleston in late May, however, they decided to go ahead and get married in an intimate ceremony in Kayli’s parents’ backyard back in March, then have their big celebration with all of their friends and family later in the year. It was so special getting to see them celebrate their union with all of their loved ones, and I loved being a part of it!
The day of their wedding was absolutely perfect. It was an unseasonably cool day, the sun was shining, and an air of excitement could be felt the moment you stepped foot into Kayli’s childhood home. The entire day was full of so much joy and every thoughtful detail perfectly reflected Garrett and Kayli and their relationship. It was such an honor getting to be a part of such a beautiful day and capture all of the sweetest moments!
Garrett and Kayli, thank you so much for letting me capture this very special day as well as your ceremony back in March. While your wedding may not have been the original celebration you had hoped for, it was that much more special and beautiful because you were able to find a light in a dark time. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Scott!
