I first met April and Phil back in July through their wedding planner, who just so happened to be MY wedding planner (Happily Ever After – check them out, they are seriously amazing!!)! April was super bubbly and had an infectious laugh that was just the best! I loved getting to see how she and Phil interacted with each other during our initial meetings: always laughing and joking around. I couldn’t wait to get them in front of the camera and capture their sweet love.

Because April is a veterinarian, she wanted to include her precious pup, Shane, in their session and man, was it the cutest thing! They dressed him up in a little tuxedo and top hat, which kept us all laughing the whole time! For the rest of their session, we explored Mordecai Historic Park in Raleigh and chased the beautiful evening light. It was so much fun getting to know April and Phil even more in front of my lens. They are such a sweet couple and I can hardly wait for their wedding next year!
