Andie and I go all the way back to high school, where we bonded and became friends over our love for music. We both did chorus and even led an all female acappella group together! When she contacted me about doing some promo portraits for her new position as a yoga instructor, I was thrilled! While I love photographing weddings and capturing couples in love, I was so excited for the opportunity to photograph something so completely different than what I’m used to!

For Andie’s session, we ventured through downtown Durham to get that urban feel that she wanted. I’ve always loved how much character this city has, and it was the perfect backdrop for this shoot! I had so much fun watching Andie show me some of her yoga moves, and I was thoroughly impressed (I’ve tried yoga before and let’s just say I wasn’t the greatest at it). When I told her that, she was so encouraging and might have even convinced me to give it another go. I would definitely recommend Andie for anybody looking for an awesome and talented yoga instructor!
